Terms of Service

Last updated: 14 April 2026

1. Acceptance

By creating an account you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Service description

VerifyLive connects verified organizations (newsrooms, NGOs, legal and institutional editors) with KYC-verified journalists for live video content. The platform provides cryptographic sealing, AI analysis, and chain-of-custody certificates.

3. Eligibility

Journalists must be at least 18 and legally able to work in their jurisdiction. Organizations must be legally registered entities and complete tier verification.

4. Journalist rights

A journalist may refuse any assignment for any reason. Refusal does not affect account standing. Journalists are independent contractors, not employees.

5. Prohibited use

• Attempting to de-anonymize journalists • Creating fake organization accounts • Assignments that would expose a journalist to foreseeable physical harm without informed consent • Content that violates applicable law in the journalist's or organization's jurisdiction • Reverse-engineering cryptographic controls or the T&S review process

6. Payment

Organizations pay per-certificate and/or per subscription tier. Journalists receive payout via Stripe Connect after a stream is verified and certified. Fees, dispute procedures, and refund policy are in the separate fee schedule.

7. Intellectual property

Journalists retain copyright in captured media. Organizations obtain a broadcast and archival license as specified in the assignment contract. Certificates are owned by Veracium and freely verifiable.

8. Liability

Veracium provides the platform on a best-effort basis. Liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law. Cryptographic guarantees in our Security document are described accurately; operational failures (downtime, data loss, network partitions) are governed by the separate SLA.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, pose a security risk to journalists, or are implicated in the cross-organization correlation engine as likely state-actor fronts.

10. Governing law

Governed by German law. Exclusive venue: Berlin, Germany.
